Job Description

Chefman is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the Software team. The role supports our Software team by managing the source code management system, automating builds and regression testing, building tools and monitoring software deployments, and coordinating and pushing new releases to the production infrastructure. The DevOps Engineer ensures that new software is released in a streamlined manner from development to production. As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll work hard to ensure that Chefman’s products are delivered with a repeatable and scalable process.

This role will be based out of the Chefman office located in Mahwah, NJ. Salary is commensurate with candidate’s experience and successes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support and improve our tools for continuous build, automated testing and release management
  • Own, manage and improve our release process
  • Focus on scale and efficiency
  • Build and maintain tools needed during release pushes
  • Drive iOS and Android app releases
  • Build and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) systems for devices

Qualifications: Successful candidates will possess the following:

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Management and interface to the production factory
  • Completion and storage of production documentation package
  • Reporting project status to management

  • The Project Manager will be responsible for the development of the following documents and test procedures to ensure that the product performs to the required specifications :
  • User Manuals
  • ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure)
  • Detailed reports of test results

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with electronic product development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Knowledge of Smart Sheet or Microsoft Project
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to participate and contribute positively in work teams
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to complete projects, document work and communicate clearly both in writing and verbally
  • Team Work – Highly Skilled – Ability to lead and work in Teams

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical Engineering is preferable)
  • Project management experience in electronic product development
  • Experience interfacing with factories in China and Taiwan

  • Technologically and design savvy
  • Past experience specifically working with small kitchen appliances
