We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will bring very strong engineering and design skills along with highly creative problem-solving solutions in the design and development of state-of-the-art innovative small kitchen appliances.

 

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for all stages of Product Development from Research and Development to Design, Manufacturing, and product support.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the following efforts:

  • Oversee the Design, Development, and Manufacturing of the Chefman and CHEF iQ line of small kitchen appliances that are sold worldwide
  • Support and develop solutions for multiple ongoing projects at various stages of development. This will include initial scoping, design concept generation, design validation, manufacturing validation and development of sourced products including support throughout the entirety of product lifecycle
  • Evaluate factory designs, proposed solutions, and processes
  • Review and support overseas factories tooling and injection molding processes
  • Collaborate with Industrial and Engineering Teams to ensure optimal design

  • Participate in product safety and review analyses, confer with engineers and other cross-functional personnel to resolve malfunctions and provide technical support

Required Skills

  • Solid knowledge of and experience in Product Development processes
  • Extensive experience with the design, development, and manufacturing of electro-mechanical consumer products (Small kitchen appliances is preferred)
  • Proficiency with 3D engineering design (e.g., Solidworks, AutoCAD, ProE/Creo or other) rapid prototyping (3D printing and machining) and injection molding
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing and interfacing directly with contract manufacturers in China and Taiwan
